Eizo Nishio is a colorist that creates paintings and sculptures using minimal and conceptual art methods.
His paintings are done on aluminum plates with acrylic paint and come in two types - square and long rectangle.
Many of the square-type paintings are triptych paintings.
While minimizing the elements that constitute a single piece, he applies both a great variety of coloration
and methods of developing works in conceptual art to minimal painting in an attempt to open up new possibilities.
