About Eizo Nishio
Eizo Nishio is the Japanese artist and his work is based on minimal art. Starting out as an artist in his youth, he then progressed in his career as founder/director of Art & Books, the most specialized and leading art bookseller in Japan. He was also involved in his role as an art bibliographer for 26 years and published 20/21C ART BOOKS: A Bibliography of Artists and Art Movements in the 20th and 21st Centuries in 2010.  He then resumed his creative position as an artist in 2011 and continues to do so to date.

Brief history
Eizo Nishio: b.1953, Tokyo. / Artist and Artbibliographer / Graduated from the Faculty of Economics, Sophia University, Tokyo, and studied Social Sciences at Waseda University, Tokyo. / Exhibited at Cantonal Museum of Fine Arts, Lausanne, Switzerland (1985), KUNSTEN - Museum of Modern Art Aalborg, Denmark (1985), and others. / Established Art & Books in Tokyo, 1987. / Published 20/21C ART BOOKS: A Bibliography of Artists and Art Movements in the 20th and 21st Centuries (2010), 19C ART BOOKS: A Bibliography of Artists and Art in the 19th Century (2012), Eizo Nishio: Selection of Sculptures 2012-2024 (2024), Eizo Nishio: Paintings 2023 (2023), Eizo Nishio: White Paintings 2024 (2024), and many other books including collection of artworks, encyclopedia, and critical essay of art. / 20/21C ART BOOKS published in 2010, was collected by over 1,300 libraries of universities, art museums and research institutions in the world, and the book was accepted in the field of artbibliography as a standard encyclopedia. / For more details about these books, please see the academic book search site, WorldCat (the U.S.), or Karlsruhe Virtual Catalog (Europe).
